Closing of the Bones ceremony is a traditional postpartum ceremony supporting the gentle return of her spirit back to the Women's body after Birth. A Mexican tradition welcomed into the western world so all Women can experience the healing deserved It is powerful & unique in its own right.

About This Event
It is believed that a Woman will journey out to the stars to collect her baby & bring them earthside. Traditional Mexican midwives use medicinal postpartum herbs, rebozos, ( handwoven cotton scarfs used for tying her body off, hips, shoulders, legs, feet, and a makeshift Temazcal ( sweat lodge), to close off on the Birth journey & assist in her healing.
This ceremony is powerful & deeply healing. Closing of the Bones can be offered after any rite of passage for a Woman. To close off a season to then welcome & honour a new season, after divorce, miscarriage, completing breastfeeding, termination of pregnancy or early pregnancy loss.
A Woman experiences an extreme opening of her body, mind & spirit in holding a baby & birthing her baby therefore closing of the bones invites her return.
